Job Summary
Provide unit-based leadership by supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, directing activities, and managing staffing based on patient acuity and needs. Initiate and coordinate team conferences to revise care plans, make rounds to assess patient needs, and solicit feedback to improve quality of care and customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with Patient Safety Goals, manage equipment maintenance, and investigate operational issues while keeping staffing costs within budget. Direct personnel performance, including coaching, discipline, and hiring decisions, and instruct new staff on job duties.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
