Job Summary
Provide unit-based leadership by supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, directing care activities, and managing staffing based on patient acuity. Initiate and coordinate team conferences to revise care plans, make rounds to assess patient needs, and solicit feedback on service quality. Implement systems to improve patient experience, resolve operational issues, and recommend policy changes. Ensure compliance with Patient Safety Goals, facilitate staff development, and coach or discipline personnel as needed. Maintain equipment functionality, manage budgets to minimize overtime, and directly participate in hiring and termination decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
