Job Summary
Provide unit-based leadership by supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, directing activities, and managing staffing based on patient acuity and needs. Initiate team conferences to revise care plans, make rounds to assess patient needs, and solicit feedback on nursing services. Ensure compliance with Patient Safety Goals, implement quality improvement initiatives, and resolve operational issues. Manage staff performance through coaching, discipline, and hiring decisions while maintaining budget targets and minimizing overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
