Job Summary
Lead unit-based nursing services by supervising staff, directing patient care activities, and managing staffing levels based on acuity and needs. Initiate and coordinate care plans through team conferences, make rounds to assess patient needs, and solicit feedback to improve quality of care and customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with safety goals, resolve operational issues, and implement systems to address patient care throughout the continuum. Manage personnel performance through coaching, discipline, and hiring decisions while maintaining budget targets and minimizing overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
