Job Summary
Provide unit-based leadership by supervising nursing personnel, directing care activities, and managing staffing based on patient acuity and workload. Initiate team conferences to revise care plans, make rounds to assess patient needs, and solicit feedback to improve quality of care and customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with Patient Safety Goals, manage equipment maintenance, and recommend policy changes while balancing staffing costs and minimizing overtime. Direct performance evaluations, coach staff, and participate in hiring and termination decisions for unit employees.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
