Job Summary
Lead unit-based clinical services by supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, directing care plans, and managing staffing based on patient acuity. Conduct rounds to assess patient needs, solicit feedback on quality of care, and resolve operational issues. Implement systems for patient safety and performance improvement, coach staff on performance, and participate in hiring and termination decisions. Maintain equipment functionality, ensure department cleanliness, and manage staffing costs within budget while adhering to Joint Commission standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Five years' technical experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
- E-Verify participation and acknowledgment of Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
