Job Summary
Lead unit-based leadership in the development and provision of clinical services, supervising and directing nursing and ancillary personnel using professional discretion. Initiate and coordinate individual and team conferences to revise care plans, while making rounds to assess patient needs and solicit feedback on nursing services. Manage staffing requirements based on patient acuity, assign personnel to patients, and coach or discipline staff as appropriate. Ensure compliance with Patient Safety Goals and Quality Measures through participation in Performance Improvement Teams, while maintaining unit cleanliness and equipment safety.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Five years' technical experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
- E-Verify participation acknowledgment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
