Job Summary
Provide unit-based leadership by supervising nursing personnel, directing care plans, and managing staffing based on patient acuity. Initiate team conferences to revise care plans, make rounds to assess patient needs, and solicit feedback on nursing services. Ensure compliance with Patient Safety Goals, participate in Performance Improvement Teams, and implement staff development activities. Manage unit operations by assigning personnel, reviewing schedules, coaching employees, and recommending policy changes while maintaining budget targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Five years' technical experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
