Job Summary
Provides unit-based leadership in the ICU, supervising and directing nursing and ancillary personnel to ensure cost-effective, high-quality patient care and safety. Works with the Nurse Manager/Director, physicians, and staff to develop and revise care plans, conducts rounds, and fosters patient- and family-centered care while improving patient experience and satisfaction. Ensures compliance with safety goals and quality initiatives, leads staffing decisions based on patient acuity, and participates in performance improvement activities. Requires Bachelor's Degree in nursing, RN licensure in the state, and BLS; HLFS and NIHSS are required; supervisory experience is required. Five years of technical experience and a Master's degree are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience (RN) – Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice – Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy – Required
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) – Required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – Required
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills – Required
