Job Summary
RN Lead – ICU responsible for unit-based leadership, supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, and coordinating care plans to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Collaborates with the Nurse Manager/Director, physicians, and staff to implement patient care strategies, improve patient experience and safety, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and performance improvement initiatives. Oversees staffing based on patient acuity, evaluates performance, and participates in hiring decisions. Requires a Bachelor's degree in nursing (Master's preferred), RN licensure, and at least supervisory experience; hospital-based clinical leadership and expertise in critical care nursing are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Master's Degree: Preferred
- Five years' technical experience: Preferred
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills: Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS): Required
