Job Summary
RN Nurse Lead – ICU, provides unit-based leadership working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, Director, Physicians, and staff. Supervises and directs activities of nursing/ancillary personnel, ensuring cost-effective, professional care with strong patient safety and high patient satisfaction. Develops and revises care plans with the health team, leads rounds, seeks feedback on nursing services, and implements improvements to enhance patient experience. Partners with Nurse Manager/Director to drive quality and customer-satisfaction initiatives, ensures compliance with Joint Commission Patient Safety goals and hospital policies, and monitors staffing based on patient acuity. Responsible for hiring, coaching, discipline, scheduling decisions, and staff development to maintain safe, efficient operations and optimal patient care. Willingness to participate in PI teams and quality activities to continually improve care delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- RN licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- HLFS: Required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS): Required
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills: Required
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AH policy: Required
