Job Summary
RN Lead ICU provides unit-based leadership and supervises nursing/ancillary personnel to ensure cost-effective, high-quality patient care and safety. Collaborates with the Nurse Manager/Director, Physicians, and staff to develop and revise care plans, participates in patient care as needed, and drives patient and family-centered care with attention to cultural diversity. Responsibilities include rounds to assess patient needs, addressing care quality and patient satisfaction, coordinating with PI teams and Joint Commission initiatives, managing staffing based on acuity, hiring/disciplining/unit personnel, and ensuring department operations and equipment safety. Requires a Bachelor's in nursing (Master's preferred), RN licensure in CA, and BLS/HLFS; NIHSS is required and supervision experience is necessary. Emphasizes leadership in clinical services, staff development, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS): Required
- Five years' technical experience: Preferred
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills: Required
- CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Preferred
