Job Summary
RN Lead in ER overseeing unit-based leadership, supervising nursing and ancillary staff, coordinating care plans, ensuring patient safety and high patient satisfaction, and driving quality improvements. Responsibilities include rounds to assess patient care needs, developing strategies with the Nurse Manager/Director to improve customer satisfaction, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission standards and Performance Improvement initiatives, and managing staffing, performance evaluations, and hiring decisions. Requires collaboration with Physicians and health team members to implement individualized care plans and monitor operations to maintain safe, high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS): Required
- Licenses/Certifications: CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Preferred
- Master's Degree: Preferred
- Five years' technical experience: Preferred
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills: Required
