Job Summary
RN - Nurse Lead in ER, Night Shift: Provides unit-based leadership and supervises nursing/ancillary staff to deliver cost-effective, high-quality patient care with strong emphasis on patient safety and patient-family-centered care. Leads rounds, coordinates care plans, and collaborates with Nurse Manager/Director, physicians, and health team members to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction. Ensures compliance with Joint Commission Patient Safety Goals, quality measures, and performance improvement initiatives; manages staffing based on patient acuity; participates in hiring and disciplinary actions; maintains department operations and equipment, and supports staff development. Requires RN licensure in CA, BLS/HLFS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications; Bachelor's degree in nursing (Master's preferred) and supervisory experience. Kick-off to clinical leadership in a hospital setting with a focus on both clinical excellence and operational effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Master's Degree: Preferred
- Five years' technical experience: Preferred
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills: Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS): Required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
