Job Summary
RN - Nurse Lead in the ER (Night Shift, Full Time) provides unit-based leadership and collaborates with the Nurse Manager, Director, Physicians, and staff. Supervises and directs nursing and ancillary personnel using professional and supervisory judgment to ensure cost-effective, high-quality patient care and safety. Performs rounds, coordinates care plans with health team members and families, and drives improvements in patient experience and customer satisfaction. Ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, participates in performance improvement activities, manages staffing based on patient acuity, and contributes to policy/procedure updates in partnership with leadership. Requires Bachelor's Degree in nursing, RN licensure in the state of practice, and BLS/HLFS/NIHSS/ACLS/PALS certifications (as specified), with ACLS and PALS and other certifications deemed required by the facility. The role emphasizes leadership, clinical supervision, patient-centered care, cultural competence, and ongoing assessment of department operations to optimize patient outcomes and staff development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS): Required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- ADVENTIST HEALTH vaccination requirement for associates: Required
