Job Summary
RN Lead in the ER on a Night Shift: Provides unit-based leadership in collaboration with the Nurse Manager/Director and staff, supervising nursing and ancillary personnel to ensure cost-effective, high-quality patient care and safety. Performs rounds, coordinates care plans, and leads conferences with health team members, patients, and families to optimize individualized care. Drives patient experience improvements, participates in performance improvement and compliance initiatives (e.g., Joint Commission), manages staffing based on acuity, and coaches staff. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Master's preferred), RN licensure in California, and multiple certifications (BLS, HLFS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS). Demonstrates supervisory skills and contributes to policy/procedure changes in collaboration with leadership to maintain high-quality nursing services and patient satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- RN licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS): Required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification: Required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification: Required
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills: Required
