Job Summary
Provides unit-based leadership in the ER, supervising and directing nursing and ancillary personnel, coordinating care plans with the health team, and ensuring cost-effective, high-quality patient care and safety. Leads patient care initiatives, fosters patient- and family-centered care, monitors performance, and contributes to improving patient satisfaction and outcomes. Requires RN licensure, BSN, and multiple certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, HLFS) with supervisory experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- CPR certification or BLS certification (preferred)
- Master's Degree (preferred)
