Job Summary
RN - Nurse Lead in ER on Night Shift leads unit operations under Nurse Manager/Director, supervising multiple nursing and ancillary staff to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include coordinating care plans with health team members and families, implementing systems to improve patient experience and outcomes, supervising staff, coordinating conferences, managing staffing based on acuity, coaching and disciplining personnel, and contributing to performance improvement and policy changes. Requires a Bachelor's in nursing, active RN license in CA, BLS (required), HLFS (required), ACLS (required), PALS (required), NIHSS (required), supervisory experience, and clinical leadership skills. Preferred: Master's degree and additional certifications. Willingness to participate in hospital PI activities and ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and patient safety initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
