Job Summary
RN (Nights) in the ER at Oneida Health: Coordinate patient care in the Emergency Department, supervise LPNs and nursing staff, maintain accurate patient records, uphold infection control and quality standards, communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team, manage supplies and equipment, and remain calm under pressure. Requires Associate of Nursing (RN) and NY RN License; 2+ years in nursing (ED experience advantageous); BLS preferred; strong clinical judgment, leadership, teamwork, and EMR proficiency. Must be able to stand/move for extended periods and work night shifts in a hospital ER setting.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Nursing (Required)
- New York RN License (Required)
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience preferred (ED experience advantageous)
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
- Effective leadership and supervisory abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and computer applications
- Ability to stand, walk, and move about for extended periods
