Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered care in the Emergency Department on a full-time night shift (7p–7a) with a 36-hour workweek. Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering nursing care per the nursing process, administering medications, monitoring equipment, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, responding to medical emergencies (CPR/code team), educating patients and families, adhering to infection control standards, participating in audits and quality initiatives, and maintaining documentation. Requires RN licensure (Indiana or compact) and BCLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred. Relocation assistance available; sign-on bonus up to $15,000; additional student-loan contributions and benefits for full-time and part-time roles. Applicable to Porter Hospital in Valparaiso, IN.
Required Qualifications
- RN license (Indiana or Compact State Licensure)
- BCLS (Basic Life Support) required
- ACLS preferred
- PALS preferred
- NRP preferred
