Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the NICU or Labor and Delivery units, utilizing the nursing process to prioritize patient wellness and evidence-based practice. Deliver care guided by AWHONN and AACN standards while modeling proficiency through precepting new staff. Maintain NRP certification within six months of hire and ensure BLS or CPR certification is current throughout the first sixty days. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care within a multidisciplinary team environment. This full-time night shift role includes a quarterly incentive program and offers tuition reimbursement for professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Relevant certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of Women and Infants nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- NRP within 6 months of hire or transfer
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
