Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Metro Denver NICU float pool, utilizing the nursing process to support women and infants across Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, and NICU units. Prioritize evidence-based practice, patient wellness, and multidisciplinary team collaboration to achieve exceptional outcomes. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and welcome new knowledge in this fast-paced clinical environment. Maintain NRP certification within six months of hire and ensure BLS/CPR cards are current through the first sixty days. This role supports a culture of quality, safety, and professional growth within UCHealth's Women's Care and Infants department.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Relevant certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of Women and Infants nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- NRP within 6 months of hire
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
