Job Summary
Conduct nursing care for patients in the NICU using the nursing process while collaborating with healthcare providers. Act as a patient advocate by delegating care and participating in performance and practice improvement activities. Maintain accountability for professional development within the legal scope of care. This full-time, 12-hour night shift position at Kettering Health Main Campus in Kettering requires Ohio RN licensure, an accredited nursing degree, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS. The role aligns with the organization's mission to promote health and prioritize safety within its 14 medical centers.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE) if they are a new graduate nurse
- Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred (must be completed within 5 years of hire)
- A nurse who is returning to the acute care setting after five or more years may be required to provide evidence of successful completion of a refresher course
- BLS certification
- ACLS, NRP, PALS as determined by unit scope of practice
