Job Summary
Conduct admission and ongoing assessments of neonatal patients, performing skilled procedures and implementing individualized care plans. Design, direct, and evaluate patient care plans while providing family teaching and coordinating safe discharge transitions. Prepare patients for treatments, surgeries, and diagnostic studies, reporting significant condition changes to the physician and Charge Nurse. Execute medication safety protocols, delegate tasks based on coworker abilities, and provide comprehensive bedside shift reports including family participation. Maintain a safe work environment by promptly removing soiled equipment and reporting hazards immediately.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing
- At least one (1) year of RN experience, upon hire
- Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
- Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 6 - months
- Stable Program, within 6 - months
