Job Summary
RN Resident in a 12-month Nurse Residency Program for 2026 graduates. The RN Resident works under supervision of Unit Manager and Nurse Educator to provide patient-centered care, applying the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnoses, outcomes planning, implementation, and evaluation) with evidence-based practice. Roles include coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams, performing bedside care, and engaging in ongoing professional development through sequential orientation phases (System Orientation, Core Nursing Onboarding, Specialty Onboarding, and monthly NRP sessions). The role emphasizes culturally competent care, critical thinking, and adherence to the Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and ANA Code of Ethics. Minimum education requires graduation from an accredited nursing program; Licensure as an RN is required upon hire, with BLS (and instructor designation) required. Less than six months of nursing experience is expected. BSN is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited/approved school of nursing
- Active RN license (Single State Nurse License or Multi-state Compact)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Instructor
- Less than six months of nursing experience
- BSN preferred
