Job Summary
RN New Graduate Internship Program in Surgical Care Unit. The RN advocates and utilizes the nursing process to provide holistic acute-care nursing across age groups, partnering with patients, families, and the care team to achieve optimal outcomes. The role supports a Nurse Residency program (RRMC) post-hire and requires active nursing licensure in Vermont, BLS, and specialty certifications (ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC) as dictated by the department. Strong knowledge of acute-care nursing, basic computer skills, and ability to prioritize care are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the State of Vermont
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association
- ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC per unit requirements
- Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification per unit guidelines
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
