Job Summary
Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement treatments as ordered by physicians while monitoring delegated non-licensed personnel. Administer medications and perform technical services in a cross-functional mode to serve patient needs, maintaining safety and confidentiality. Manage patient specimen testing, quality control, and equipment maintenance under the direction of the Laboratory. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assure safe and accurate care delivery. Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification within 30 days, and ACLS within one year. Graduates of a nursing program with one-year adult acute care experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a nursing program
- Minimum of one-year adult, acute care with cardiology/cardiovascular nursing
- Registered Nurse with current state licensure or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact
- BLS within 30 days of employment
- ACLS within one year of employment
- PALS or ENPC within one year of employment
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS within one year of employment for RNs with the home department or cross trained in: PCU, ED, Cath Lab, Outpatient Services or Phase II Outpatient Cardiac Rehab
- PALS or ENPC within one year of employment for RNs with ED as their home department
