Job Summary
The RN New Grad ICU Pathway Program at UofL Health is designed for new graduate nurses aiming for ICU mastery and preparation for NP or CRNA roles. The program includes mentorship, varied clinical specialties, and is contingent on competitive academic and professional criteria.
Required Qualifications
- Be a graduating nursing student or a recent graduate (BSN preferred)
- Current KY RN licensure or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky (required)
- Basic Life Saving (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
- All new RN graduates will participate in the Nurse Residency program and must successfully complete all activities (required)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program (preferred)
- Two years of hospital patient care experience (preferred)
- Demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum GPA 3.0 recommended)
- Show evidence of leadership, professionalism, and commitment to advanced practice.
