Job Summary
Experienced inpatient RN to join neurocritical care on a fast-paced Neuro ICU. Provide care for critically ill adults with neuro diagnoses (stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, seizure, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, surgical resections) using multimodal neurologic tech (intracranial pressure management, EEG, advanced neuroimaging) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. 90% FTE with 7:00 pm–7:30 am shifts, weekend rotation, and holiday rotation; hospital-based care in Madison, WI on a high acuity 18-bed Neuro ICU. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
- Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit Required
- Relevant RN Experience Preferred
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
- Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
- ACLS within 6 months Required
- Relevant certification Preferred
