Job Summary
RN in Neuro Trauma ICU working part-time nights at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. Provides assessment, planning, and delivery of care for high-risk, critically ill patients, including ECMO patients with specialized circuit management and data documentation. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, communicates effectively across shifts, adheres to infection control and regulatory standards, and leads/coordinates care for nursing staff. Requires Iowa RN license (IL license if working in IL), BLS, ACLS within 12 months, and appropriate critical care competencies; relocation incentive eligible. May include 72-hour ECLS pathway requirements for specialists, and supports MercyOne Trinity Health’s mission and values.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree required; BSN preferred
- Current Iowa RN license (current IL license if working in IL)
- BLS
- ACLS within 12 months of hire
- Cardiac monitoring course and/or select units of advanced Nursing / Critical Care Course or comparable training
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (NVCI) within 6 months of hire
- Ability to work under pressure and with independence and accountability
- Ability to lead/direct others in a high-stress environment
- ECMO management (if applicable) and related training/competencies
- Experience in critical care nursing or ICU setting preferred
- 12-hour night shift availability; 24 hours per week
- Relocation incentive eligible
