Job Summary
Registered Nurse on the Neuro/PCU unit at Royal Oak Hospital. Provides professional nursing care under ANA scope, using the nursing process with patient-family centered care, in a fast-paced neuroscience-focused setting that includes acute strokes, neurosurgical interventions, and an epilepsy monitoring unit. Requires an Associates or Diploma in Nursing, with a Bachelor’s in Nursing required within 5 years for GN or RN with <1 year experience; graduates from non-accredited programs must meet acute care or licensed health care experience and NCLEX. Michigan RN licensure and BLS are required; the unit belongs to a Magnet-designated system offering comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Diploma in Nursing from an ACEN accredited program
- Bachelor's in Nursing required within 5 years for GN or RN with less than 1 year of experience
- Graduates from non-accredited nursing schools must have at least one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed health care role and must have passed the NCLEX
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire
