Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in the Neuro Med Surg unit on the 5 West wing, treating neurological disorders, neurosurgical cases, general medical surgery, and chronic heart failure patients. Systematically evaluate care quality, develop and implement individualized care plans using the nursing process, and collect assessment data for each patient. Coordinate with the inter-professional team to set goals, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes while educating patients and families on health promotion and comfort measures. Serve as a mentor and role model to foster a healthy work environment. Work full-time night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., performing point-of-care testing as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
