Job Summary
Perform the nursing process using evidence-based practice, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for neuro acute and spine patients. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, case reviews, and documentation to ensure safe, quality patient care while partnering with patients and families on goals and teaching. Complete mandatory education, competency assessments, and serve as a preceptor or mentor to support the nursing workforce. Participate in performance improvement activities, research utilization, and protocol development to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Uphold Wellstar Health Systems policies, TJC safety goals, and legal regulatory standards. Requires an RN license (single-state or compact), 2+ years of experience in the specified area, and proficiency in Epic and 3M systems.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor or ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- Minimum 2 years current experience in specified area of practice
- Computer/data entry experience
- Epic and 3M experience
