Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care to residents, coordinating assessments, education, and treatment across all phases of preventative care and health maintenance. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, providers, and families to plan and evaluate resident care plans. May serve as charge nurse, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel while ensuring safe administration of care. Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise and adhere to state licensure standards and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Requires current RN licensure in the state of practice, with a Bachelor's degree preferred and minimum 400 hours of RN experience or accredited pre-licensure clinical training.
Required Qualifications
- Must have graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum
- Must have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as a RN (or LPN) at another facility
- Requires current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state, or states, of practice
- Certification may be required depending specialty or service area
