Job Summary
Assess patients through obtaining history, performing tests, and observing clinical changes. Communicate with providers, educate patients on test results, new care plans, and medication regimens. Demonstrate sound clinical judgment when triaging sick patients on the phone and in the waiting room. Safely administer medications, tests, and treatments as ordered. Teach patients and families health care regimens while explaining disease, wellness, diet, and exercise aspects of the plan of care. This Registered Nurse role at NeighborHealth supports direct and indirect nursing care, health maintenance, teaching, counseling, and planning for optimal functioning and comfort in our South End Washington primary care department.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Completion of Accredited Nursing Program
- Licensure in Massachusetts as an RN
- BCLS certification per department policy
- 1 year relevant nursing experience in a community health and/or ambulatory care setting
