Job Summary
Coordinate and delegate care in a safe, secure, and clean environment while providing patient comfort, pain relief, and anxiety alleviation through the autonomous application of the nursing process. Lead, mentor, and role model for other healthcare team members including nurse externs, LPNs, and patient care assistants. Demonstrate respect for patient rights and confidentiality while utilizing evidenced-based practice and information technologies. Practice under the Florida Nurse Practice Act and follow all Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare policies and ICARE values. Requires an active Florida RN license, BLS/CPR certification, and an Associate degree in nursing. Full-time 0.9 FTE or greater eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing
- Licensed as an RN in accordance with Florida's Nurse Practice Act
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an accredited American Heart Association (AHA) instructor
- Other specialized life support requirements designated by work area
- Acceptance of a full-time position (0.9 FTE or greater)
- If a former employee, must have been separated from the organization for at least 12 months
- Certain job related experience requirements may apply
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a reference verification
- Must pass a health assessment
- Must pass credential/license verification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Two (2) or more years of RN experience
