Job Summary
Provide individualized assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to overcome healthcare system barriers using the nursing process. Deliver education and resources to facilitate informed decision-making and timely access to quality health and psychosocial care. Foster effective navigation of the healthcare continuum for patients and their families. Requires a current Alabama or Multistate RN license, BLS certification within orientation, and PALS within one year of employment. Minimum two years of Pediatric and/or Oncology patient care experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Alabama or Multistate license
- BLS certification
- PALS certification
- Minimum of two years in Pediatric and/or Oncology patient care
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology
- Current healthcare management methodology
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Effective written communication skills
- Effective verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical research certification
- APON certification
- SoCRA certification
- Knowledge of oncology sciences
