Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for individuals and families by utilizing the nursing process to meet patient needs as prescribed. Assign or delegate tasks to LPNs and support staff based on patient needs and skill levels, while assigning duties and lunches when serving as charge. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical care, promote patient safety initiatives, and participate in department-specific quality and evidence-based practice projects. Provide verbal and written feedback to peers, supervise delegate scope of practice, and resolve patient or family concerns through compassionate, patient-centered communication. Maintain a safe environment by analyzing health status data, documenting interventions, and continuously evaluating patient satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- CPR certification
- Compliance with Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)
- Adherence to applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations as well as company policies and training requirements
- Adherence to the company's Code of Business Conduct
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred Certification in area of specialty
