Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients ranging from infants to the geriatric population. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to meet unit and hospital goals while providing care aligned with clinical standards and departmental guidelines. Work under the supervision of the Department Director and/or Charge Nurse, maintaining department-specific certifications and competencies. Ability to assume the Charge Nurse role when needed and willingness to float to other comparable nursing units as required. Full-time day shifts with call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted RN license in the State of South Carolina
- Current BCLS certification
- Completion of nursing service orientation program
- Attendance at IV Therapy training or demonstration of IV competency within one year
- Annual participation in Skills Fair and completion of all required competencies
- Ability to assume the Charge Nurse role when needed
- Maintains department-specific certifications and competencies
- Previous hospital experience
- Advanced certification in specialty area
- Membership in a professional nursing organization
- Willingness to float to other comparable nursing units, as needed
