Job Summary
Registered Nurse at Mercy Mother Baby Center provides care across labor and delivery and postpartum, collaborating with 24/7 in-house OB/GYNs and neonatal nurse practitioners. Responsible for comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs, planning and coordinating the plan of care, supervising progress, incorporating evidence-based practice, and ensuring safe, effective care. Supplemental roles include Charge Nurse and Preceptor as applicable. Requires 1+ year RN Labor & Delivery or postpartum experience or orientation, 0.75 FTE (60 hours per two-week period), and 12-hour day/night shifts with every third weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Vocational degree
- Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required if working in state of MN upon hire / WI Department of Safety & Professional Services required if working in the state of WI upon hire
- Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association OR Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross OR Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation - Multisource required for identified units per hiring manager within 4 months
- ACLS required for identified units per hiring manager
- RN-C in related specialty preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required if working in state of MN upon hire / WI DSC required if working in WI upon hire
