Job Summary
RN - Mother-Baby Nurse provides postpartum and newborn care, monitors physical assessments and vital signs, educates families on infant care and breastfeeding, administers medications, intervenes for postpartum complications, supports safe sleep and car seat safety, and participates in residency and professional development opportunities. Responsibilities include newborn assessment, breastfeeding initiation/maintenance support, patient education for new parents, monitoring for signs of infection or mood disorders, responding to emergencies, and ensuring a safe, supportive environment for mothers and babies. Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing and an NM or compact-state license, with BLS certification at hire; offers residency program participation, shift differentials, malpractice insurance, loan forgiveness options, and tuition/certification reimbursement. Compensation ranges from $37.80 to $51.00 per hour with full-time employment and 0.90 FTE. Sign-on and relocation bonuses available for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
- BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire
