Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Mother/Baby unit utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Prioritize patient wellness while modeling proficiency by precepting new staff and guiding competency validation through clinical orientation. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes, adhering to AWHONN and AACN standards for Women and Infants care. Work full-time nights in the Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, Women's Care, or NICU units, earning a quarterly incentive bonus for night shift coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Relevant certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of Women and Infants nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- NRP within 6 months
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
