Job Summary
Staff Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care. Requires RN license in Georgia with BLS; ACLS/PALS/other unit-specific certifications within specified timeframes. Role supports weekend PRN shifts in MedSurg units; responsibilities include maintaining standards of practice and professional growth within organizational policies; preferred bachelor's degree and hospital nursing experience, with opportunities for new graduates to qualify.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse license in Georgia
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS/PALS certifications as specified by unit
- Pediatric/Obstetric/Neonatal certifications as applicable
- Graduate from recognized nursing program
- New graduates eligible for PRN positions
- Nursing experience in hospital setting preferred for PRN
