Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients on a 30-bed acute care Neuroscience floor specializing in stroke, spinal injuries, and head trauma. Coordinate patient care activities with assigned staff, including physicians, therapy, and case management, while maintaining standards of practice within organizational policies. Provide continuous care to patients along the recovery continuum, supported by a dedicated Stroke Coordinator and multidisciplinary team. Work part-time shifts from 7am to 7pm in a primary stroke center environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- TNCC and ENPC Certifications
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU/ARU - ACLS
- BLS
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
