Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients on a 30-bed acute care Neuro floor specializing in stroke, spinal injuries, and head trauma. Coordinate patient care activities with assigned staff including PT/OT, respiratory therapy, and physicians while maintaining standards of practice within organizational policies. Work part-time from 7am to 7pm in a fast-paced inpatient environment supported by a comprehensive team. New graduates eligible with current Georgia RN licensure and BCLS are required; ACLS certification needed within 180 days. Orientation pairs staff with a qualified preceptor for goal-setting and training.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- PEARS or PALS Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- ENPC Certifications
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU/ARU - ACLS
- PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)
