Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients on a 30-bed acute care Neuro floor specializing in stroke, spinal injuries, and head trauma. Coordinate patient care activities and maintain standards of practice within organizational policies while working alongside physicians, therapy teams, and case management. Provide continuous care to patients along the recovery continuum under a preceptorship program that pairs staff with qualified mentors for goal-setting and training. Shifts run part-time from 7am to 7pm with patient ratios adjusted based on volume and acuity.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor's Degree
- No experience required
- New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- TNCC
- ENPC
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- PALS Certification
- PEARS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU/ARU - ACLS
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)
