Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients on a 30-bed acute care Neurology floor specializing in stroke, spinal, and head injuries. Coordinate patient care activities and maintain standards of practice while functioning within organizational policies. Provide care from birth through the lifecycle, supported by a multidisciplinary team including physicians, therapy, and case management. Participate in a comprehensive orientation period with a qualified preceptor for goal-setting and training. Shifts run part-time days from 7am to 7pm.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- NRP
- PEARS or PALS Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- TNCC and ENPC Certifications
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU/ARU - ACLS
- PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- Mother/Baby- NRP
- NICU- NRP
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
- Nursery- NRP
