Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while maintaining standards of practice and coordinating activities for all assigned staff. Provide quality nursing care within the framework of organizational policies and procedures, adhering to patient ratios determined by volume and acuity. Maintain current Georgia RN licensure and BCLS certification, with additional specialty certifications such as ACLS or PALS required within 180 days depending on the unit. Work full-time days from 7am to 7pm at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, GA, with a sign-on bonus available for eligible candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PALS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU - ACLS
- BLS
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
- Nursery- NRP
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
- PALS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification - prior to independent chemotherapy administration
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date
