Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients on a 30-bed acute care Neurosurgery floor specializing in stroke, spinal, and head injuries. Coordinate patient care activities and maintain standards of practice within organizational policies. Provide continuous care along the recovery continuum supported by a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, respiratory therapy, and physicians. This part-time role (7am-7pm) offers a sign-on bonus for new graduates or those with hospital experience. Candidates must hold a current Georgia RN license, BCLS, and a Bachelor's degree is preferred. The facility is a primary stroke center with NIHSS-assessment certified staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- PEARS or PALS Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- PALS Certification
- ENPC Certifications
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU/ARU - ACLS
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
