Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for acute and chronic respiratory patients on the expanding Pulmonary Unit. Coordinate patient care activities and maintain standards of practice for all assigned staff while working within organizational policies. Provide high-quality care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, functioning alongside hospitalists, pulmonologists, and respiratory therapists. Full-time days from 7am to 7pm with a sign-on bonus available. New graduates eligible for this role, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- TNCC and ENPC Certifications
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU/ARU - ACLS; PALS
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) within 180 Days
- PALS Certification - required at Piedmont Columbus Hospital
- PEARS or PALS Certification - required at Piedmont Athens Hospital
- BLS required only within 180 Days
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date
- Mother/Baby- NRP by the end of orientation period
- NICU- NRP by the end of orientation period
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP by the end of orientation period
- Nursery- NRP by the end of orientation period
